Leopard Forest

Leopard Forest includes new habitats for species new to the Nashville Zoo, including Amur leopards, colobus & DeBrazza’s monkeys, as well as tiny antelopes called klipspringers. These brand-new exhibit elements were paired with updates to the surrounding Africa exhibit, resulting in a new cohesive exhibit experience called Africa: Living in Balance. The larger updates included 4 immersive interpretive stations that include stunning photographs, captivating graphics, powerful videos, and engaging interactive elements. The four stations serve as the interpretive hubs for the experience, allowing the animal viewing areas to remain largely free of signage beyond the species identification information, allowing visitors to focus their attention on the remarkable species they are seeing. At the interpretive hubs, they can learn about conservation measures the Zoo is supporting to ensure that species in the wild are being protected. Throughout the exhibit, visitors are reminded of the important work that everyone can do to live in balance with the natural world around us.
