After demolishing the historic Philadelphia Civic Center to build a state-of-the art medical facility, the University of Pennsylvania was committed to telling the story of the previous site’s history in addition to the University’s own story about the history of medicine. Gecko Group developed multiple displays that incorporated historic timeline graphics and artifacts as well as a large video wall and a touchscreen interactive program that focused on Penn Medicine today.

The video wall also served as a place making element – helping to define the vast waiting area space while adding a touch of whimsy and beauty to the overall environment through a creative mix of video segments.
