Food & Family engages kids of all ages in authentic experiences that explore our varied relationships with food. In the realistic (though mini-sized) Giant-branded market, visitors take on a range of roles. Kids can shop for groceries in a life-like market or don an apron and work in one of the many departments. From Giant Direct personal shopping to “slicing” meats and cheeses in the deli, restocking shelves, or serving up pizza from the wood-fired oven, there’s plenty to do. Visitors can also explore a home kitchen where they can watch foods bake, decorate cakes, or serve up a host of delicious dishes. Or “step outside” to a community festival area where visitors can grill or play games. All areas of Food & Family communicate the ways we connect to family, friends, community, and each other through food.
